Straight answerFill in the form below or call 09 801 1995. Your request goes to a local pest controller who handles wasp nests in Auckland. They ring you, check the details and quote the job. Nothing happens until you agree to that price.
What helps us quote quickly
Where the nest is matters most. A nest in a hedge at head height is a quick job. Wasps living behind cladding or far back in the roof space take longer and may need the entry point found first. Tell us roughly how many wasps you see going in and out, and whether it is a covered ball or an open comb.
- Your suburb and the best number to call
- Where the nest is: ground, roof, wall, tree, shed or somewhere else
- How high it is, and whether a ladder or roof access is needed
- Whether a household member reacts badly to stings
Bees, not wasps?
Honey bee swarms are not a pest job. Trained swarm collectors listed by Honey and Bees New Zealand, and the Auckland Beekeepers Club's volunteers, usually collect swarms out in the open for free. Bumblebee nests are normally left alone. Read how to tell bees from wasps before you book anything.
